There is no confirmed price for Scam With Your Friends. The store listing has no price attached yet, and the developer's own Early Access statement is: "We have not finalized pricing for the full release." Anything quoting a specific price today is guessing.
Why there is no price yet
The game is an Early Access release planned for October 2026, and its store listing is still in the coming-soon state: no purchase button, no pre-order, no editions page. On Steam a price usually appears close to release, and for an Early Access title it is often set shortly before the window opens. Nothing official has been said about the amount.
The $8 figure is not the game
The only official purchase connected to this game right now is an $8 Unlimited AI access add-on, sold on the developer's own site for the current playtest. Its own terms state three things that matter:
- "No game key or playtest access is included."
- "Playtest only. Unlimited AI lasts only while the playtest is active."
- "Full game: unlimited AI. You will not need this purchase for the full release. The full game has unlimited AI anyway."
Read together: it is not the game, it is not a key, and the full release will not need it. The add-on exists because the playtest meters AI usage, and one purchase covers a whole lobby through the buyer's Steam account. The AI and OpenRouter page covers how the AI side works.
In-game money is not the price
Community hands-on footage shows shop listings and spoken amounts like $250, $100, $150 and even $5,500. All of that is content inside the game: fictional prices on fictional shelves in a comedy about running a scam call center. It says nothing about what the game will cost in the real world. The how to play page covers the shop as a game system.

What is still unknown
- The base price.
- Whether there will be one edition or several.
- Any regional pricing.
When the price is announced it will appear on the store listing and in a store news post at the same time. Until then, our official channels page lists the only sources worth trusting, and our safety and scams page explains why a site already "selling" the game cheap is a warning sign, not a deal.
